The Philosophy

Three pillars of the craft

01 — Light

“We don't illuminate. We sculpt.”

Light is the cinematographer's primary instrument. We shape it — hard or soft, warm or cool, motivated or abstract — to communicate emotion before a single word of dialogue is spoken.

02 — Lens

“Every focal length tells a different story.”

A 14mm makes the world feel vast and vertiginous. A 135mm compresses space, draws your subject close, isolates them from context. Lens choice is intentional — a directorial decision, not a technical default.

03 — Composition

“The frame is our canvas.”

Where we place the subject, what we include and exclude, the horizon, the balance — composition is the architecture of attention. We compose with intention, making every frame a deliberate visual statement.
